Absolutely awful and abysmal! Avoid!

My 10yr old daughter and I had to move rooms due to the human excrement and sewers effecting our room. Literally a room full of you know what! Even the staff could not breathe in the hallway on the 3rd floor outside our room, let alone us be able to sleep in there. We were permitted to move rooms eventually but even the second room had a sink that leaked all over the floor and we could only brush our teeth the shower. Woken up by drilling 2 out of 3 mornings. We were promised compensation from the hotel for the sewage issue, they then back tracked and refused to acknowledge, even when the staff were very embarrassed about the issue but were not allowed to say! Worst hotel experience in a city to be honest, I can still taste the smell we were expected to sleep in!!

The hotel is in a perfect location, you're in the Gothic quarter around the corner from the cathedral. Lots of restaurants and shops (incl a super market on a few stores away). You can walk to most locations, incl the beach, otherwise you have a choice of metro stations very close by. The hotel itself, is a 3 * hotel this should help with your expectations. I found the room (double room with 2 single beds and a day bed) to be a great size. Bathroom was a good size, however the drains were a little smelly. There was daily house keeping but I noticed the floors were a little dusty. We were on the 5th floor overlooking the street so it was nice to open the door and let in fresh air - good day light coming through. Some noise at night but i managed to sleep through it and can be a light sleeper. Breakfast was pretty good, options for hot and cold food , i felt like it was worth paying for it to have it in your hotel. good wifi Location, size of the room and b/fast are my pros.

Our stay at Hotel Rialto in Barcelona was outstanding. In particular Alex Sanchez was very professional and made sure our family visited the right places. Alex recommended excellent restaurants and gave us safety tips to ensure we visited the right places at the right time. Alex was also very caring and insightful when recommending taxi service and pharmacy care. Our family highly recommends Hotel Rialto in Barcelona and meeting Alex Sanchez is a must. The Rialto has an exceptional breakfast for guest which includes unlimited Cava. An amazing experience!!

Great location, very close to Las ramblas and other tourist attractions, all in walking distance. Also about a 2 min walk to a courtyard full of great restaurants. The hotel was clean and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful even after arriving very late into the night. The room itself was great for the price, comfortable bed, big shower and very clean throughout. The breakfast had a massive selection and the food was very good and a great price. The only issue we had was that the air conditioning in the room did not go below 19°c which made it extremely warm in the room, at one point the temperature read 29°c. We asked at reception and were told that it was set at that level and could not be changed until the summer season started. We kept the windows open which helped a little but still found it quite warm. Overall though it was a great hotel with many good qualities, I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Very central hotel, based in the Gothic Quarter. Rooms are very clean, staff friendly! Within walking distance to metro and lots of nice restaurants! We walked to Barceloneta Beach area and the marina within 20 mins of the hotel. Lots of nice restaurants and bars in this area also.
